Wurde am Morgen des 16.11.1944 bei einem Bombenangriff der Alliierten auf Merode zusammen mit ihrer behinderten Tochter Anna schwer verwundet durch deutsche Soldaten abtransportiert. Starb in Bedburg, wo sie auch beerdigt wurde. Später wurde sie umgebettet. Ruht im Ehrengrab auf dem alten Friedhof in D'horn. Auf der Gedenktafel in der Donatuskapelle in Schlich aufgeführt.
