"There", said the proprietor, "are the clothes, go and pick outwhat you want." the stranger who knew it was his brother all the time he was speaking to him, then disclosed his identity. the other did not recognize his younger brother readily as he was eleven years older." In 1853 Ben's business transferred to James, when ben returned to WI He owned "Untied States Hotel" in Forbestown, prospered well, but then 28 jan 1860 the hotel burned in Forbestown fire, lost $3,000. 1870 stae driver in Brownsvile, Ca Butte co. from son's charles forbes obit 1883, age 30, soon after charle's birth his father moved to the foothills, his present location and engaged in ranchin, teaming, and stock raising. This may have been "Moore's Station" as his daughter was married at herparents home at "Moore's Station".
