NOTE: Smyth in his Lives of the Berkeleys, says that Maurice, lordBerkeley had only one daughter, Isabel who m. Robert deClifford. Thus he denies that Maltravers wife was dau of LordBerkeley. Indeed there is nomention of any such Eve orMillicent in the whole of Smyth's Volume I.Nevertheless I have included her in the Berkeley files aseveryone else believes her to have been a daughter of Maurice,lord Berkeley.But on p. 251 of Vol 1, Smyth reports a charter of 13 Ed III toJohn Mautravers the nephew of Maurice Berkeley, who was thesecond son of Maurice, lord Berkeley.<pre>
