Entgegen der üblichen Darstellung zeigt das Bildnis Hero Mauritz' v. Dornum (Hickos Schwiegersohn) das Wappen wie folgt: gespalten, 1. blaues Feld, 2. auf gold ein schwarzer Löwe aus dem blauen Feld springend, Helmzier: drei schwarze Pfauenfedern.
