Der letzte männliche Kankena besaß ein Haus in Norden und erbte Petkum von seinem Vater.
Er baute die Dornumer Norderburg, in der sächsischen Fehde zerstört, wieder auf.
Außerdem beerbte er 1515 seinen Onkel Hikko d. Ä. Sein Erbe war Mauritz Ripperda.
Wappen: das der Kankena von Dornum, Helmzier: roter Adlerkopf mit blauem Halsband und vier Fahnen, je auf Rot eine goldene Faschine.
