TOD: Obituary, Sleepy Eye Herald-Dispatch, April 25, 1935: The earthly career of Mrs. George Windschitl, Sr. was brought to a close Monday morning when she was claimed by death. Her death was a peaceful one, coming as she slept. She was found dead in bed by a son who went to her room to call her. She had been overcome by a stroke some time ago, but had been getting along fairly well. She had been ill for 2 1/2 years. She was born in Germany May 20, 1877 and came, with her parents, to this country at the age of 5. The family first settled at Long Island, New York. She was a member of St. Margaret's Society and the Christian Mothers. The funeral was held at St. Mary's Church Wednesday morning and burial was in the Catholic Cemetery.
