Nachrichten: He traveled with his family on the same ship with Wolfgang and Anna (Forster) Seidl and Anton Forster. In 1876 his parents and siblings moved to Lanham, KS where they farmed. However, he stayed in Wisconsin and the following year married Anna's sister Mary Forster who had just arrived with her parents. They moved to Andale in 1902,
