Alvin Diedrich Antholz, son of Henry and Minnie Dirks Antholz, was bornMay 22, 1911 at Johnson, NE.
He was one of nine children. Alvin was baptized June 25, 1911, at the Martin Luther church, Johnson, NE. He was confirmed at the same church at age 15. He attended school at District 44 near his home.
On May 6, 1931, Alvin was united in marriage with Leona Gay Edie at Sabetha, KS. After their marriage, they settled in Elk Creek, NE. for oneyear and then moved to Pawnee City, NE.
Their four children are: Deloris Marie Porter, Long Beach, CA. Robert Dean Antholz, Pawnee City, Ne. Darlene Sue Jarrett, Seneca, KS. and MaryAnn Koeneke, Pawnee City, NE. Alvin also has 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Surviving are brothers Vernie of Humboldt, Mervin of Elgin, IL. and Lester of Omaha, NE.
Preceding him in death were: his wife on Dec. 14, 1968; his parents; and his brother, Otto Antholz.
Alvin was a livestock dealer who loved his work. He attended sales overa wide area.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 26, 1977 at the United Methodist Church in Pawnee City, NE. with Rev. T.J. Fraser officiating. Musicwas furnished by Mrs. Byford Metzger who sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by Mrs Roland Finkner at the organ.
Pallbearers were Robert Niss, Keith Maden, Carl Boehmer, Kenneth Klepper and Male Marshall.
Interment was in the Pawnee City, Cemetery.
