April 10, 1907 he married Minnie Dirks of Johnson, NE. they were married over 50 years. they had 5 children.

In his late years a heart condition appeared. He was rushed to the Pawnee City Hospital where he died July 2, having reached the age of 74 years and 8 months.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, ; sons, Otto of Lincoln, Ivan of Pawnee ity, Vernie of Stella, Mervin of Lincoln, Lester of Omaha; 11grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. 2 brothers, Dick and Martin, bothof Johnson; three sisters, Mrs. Margretha Dirks of Chappell, NE. Mrs.Emma Rottman of Table Rock, NE. and Mrs. Frieda Caspers of Auburn. onesister, Adele, Mrs. Albert Behrends, passed away a number of years ago.

Funeral services held July 4th at Martin Luther Church and burial tookplace in church cemetery.
