Johannes Wiebe, Sr., was the son of Heinrich Wiebe and Maria Luders, who came from Germany in about 1885.
They bought a farm on Portage Lake across from Maria's brother, H H Luders. That farm was purchased from them about 1914 by Christian and DoraMenze, and is still in the Menze family.
John Jr married Dorothea Bolland in 1898.
Their children were:
John Jr, ARnold, Henry, and Luella.
John Sr was killed in some sort of accident in 1918.
They are all buried at St John's.
