Er wurde wie seine Ehefrau auf dem Crow Hill Cemetery in Wheath Ridge im Jefferson County im State Colorado beigesetzt. Henry B. Hickman died at his home in Denver, Colorado, Tuesday morning after an illness of six months. Mr. and Mrs. Hickman formerly lived in this County, and later in Shelbyville, before moving to Colorado several years ago. A son of the late Henry and Harriet Hickman, he was born March 17, 1872, west of Plevna. He was a farmer before moving to Shelbyville. He was married Feb. 24,1903, to Miss Leta Smith, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Henry Smith Hickman of the State of Louisiana, Wendell Hickman of Denver, Colo., and Miss Mary Ellen Hickman of the home. There are several grandchildren and four brothers, Bruce of Plevna; Rolla of Leonard, Guy of Denver, Colo.; and W. J. of Woodlake, Nebr. Three sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Funeral and burial were to be in Denver. EDINA (Mo.) SENTINEL, 3 May 1951, p. 1. Masonic services for Henry B. Hickman, who died Tuesday in his home, 3943 Stuart St., will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Olinger Mortuary, Speer Blvd. Burial will be in Crown Hill. Mr.Hickman was born in Knox Co., Mo., Mar. 17, 1872. He was married Feb. 24, 1903, to Aleelah H. Smith in Plevna, Mo. He was a farmer in Knox Co., Mo., until his retirement in 1942, at which time he came to Denver. He had been a member of St. Andrew's Lodge, A. F. & A. M., for more than 50 years. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Wendell B. Hickman, Denver, and Henry S. Hickman, Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Mary Ellen Hickman, Denver, and four brothers, M. B. Hickman and R. V. Hickman, both of Baton Rouge, W. J. Hickman of Woodlake, Neb., and Guy Hickman of Aurora. DENVER (Colo.) ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, 3 May 1951, p. 50.
