Taken from the Olney Daily Mail, Olney, IL, December 30, 1982: Ida Erlene Hinkle, 76, Johnson City, Tenn., died this morning at Colonial Hill Nursing Home in Johnson City. Services will be in the Zirkle Funeral Home with Pastor John P. Kaitschuk presiding. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hinkle was born Aug. 5, 1906, in Dundas, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Wickham) Zerkel. She married Dr. Frank Clark Hinkle, Jr. May 8, 1937 in Olney and he preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1971. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, Clark T., Erwin, Tenn.; James E., Sterling Heights, Mich.; a twin sister Mrs. Lea (Ada) Frost, Olney; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Martin, Hugh, Samuel; four sisters, Mrs. Lola Burgener, Mrs. Myra Burgener, Mrs. Nina Yost, and an infant sister, Marie.
