RUDOLPH PIEGORS LAST SATURDAY</p><p>---</p><p>Funeral Services Held From St. Peter's Church Here Tuesday Afternoon</p><p>---</p><p> </p><p>Mrs. Rudolph Piegors, 46, of Tripoli,succumbed to an extended illness in her home early last Saturday morning. Ill for about three years, every effort to save her life during that time proved futile. her condition became increasingly grave and she passed away January 24 at the age of 46 years, four months and 24 days.</p><p> </p><p>Funeral services were conducted at 1:15 Tuesday from the Meier funeral home to St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the pastor, Rev. Robert T. Fauth, in charge. Interment was in the church cemetery with August Tonne, Orville Haase, Arnold Haase, Harry Buhr, Lawrence Bockhaus and Stanley Koch serving as casket bearers.</p><p> </p><p>Obituary</p><p> </p><p>Mrs. Rudolph Piegors was born Renetta Tegtmeier, daughter of Carl Tegtmeier and Louise (nee Haase), August 30, 1901, ona farm southwest of Tripoli. She was baptised in infancy in the Evangelical Church of Maxfield township by the Rev. Mr. Vogelsang.</p><p> </p><p>She was confirmed April 16, 1916, in St. Peter's Church by the Rev. martin Kleinau. When she was 18, her parents moved to Tripoli. Here she completed high school, graduating with the class of 1921.</p><p> </p><p>She was married to Rudolph Piegors,October 12, 1924, by the Rev. Karl Koehler in St. Peter's Church. Mr. and Mrs. Piegorslived for three years on a farm south of Tripoli, then moved to their home in town.</p><p> </p><p>Mrs. Piegors was very interested and active in church and communtiy affairs. A member of St. Peter's church, she served as a Church school teacher for twenty years, gave her talents as a member of the choir andas organist. She was a member and past president of the Women's Guild of the church. she was a member and past president of the Tripoli Woman's club, and in that capacity gave a good deal of time in the interest of the public library. Many evidences of her willingness to plan and work for the welfare of others remain as memorials to her memory in this community. Her dauntless courage and faith ina serious illness were an ispiration to all who knew her.</p><p> </p><p>She is survived by her husband, a daughter Irma; her mother; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Reaky Piegors; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Kleiss; and a niece and nephew, Vada and Leon Kleiss. She was preceded by a brother, Clarence, in 1918, and her father in 1936.</p><p> </p><p>I believe this articlecame from the Tripoli Leader, from the year 1948.</p><p> </p>Waterloo Courier, January 25, 1948, obituary of Renetta Tegtmeier.
